Hi, I'm Carly. I untangle things.
I'm an operations person to my core. I like messy problems, clear systems, and the moment a team realizes they don't have to do the annoying thing by hand anymore.
Five years of building the plan nobody handed me.
For five years I ran operations at a coaching and consulting company. I built systems from zero: the company CRM, the KPI dashboards, the tracking that told us how deals were really moving, and the processes that let a growing team scale without burning out.
Along the way I became the person people came to with "there has to be a better way to do this." Usually there was. I started untangle&simplify to do that work for small businesses across West Michigan: the CPA firms, gyms, shops, consultancies and agencies that run on a few great people and a lot of workarounds.
I'm fluent in the tools (automation platforms, CRMs, and yes, AI), but I care more about the people using them. A system only works if your team actually wants to use it.
Receipts, not buzzwords.

The rules I build by.
Start with the people in the workflow, not the workflow.
The best system is the one your team actually wants to use. So I start by listening to the people doing the work.
Fix the system, not the person.
When the same thing keeps going wrong, it's usually the setup, not your team. No judgment, ever.
Get it working, then make it better.
You get something useful quickly. Then we refine it based on how your team actually uses it.
The details are where systems break.
The handoffs, the edge cases, the “what if.” That's where things fall apart, so that's where I look first.
If only one person knows how it works, it isn't finished.
Everything gets documented and handed off. It's yours, and it runs without me.
Build to give people their time back.
AI is here to assist people, not replace them. I automate the busywork so people can do the human work.
